PHILIP DUROSEAUI have been a Ceramic Artist in Albuquerque for nearly 7 years . I first studied at the famed Mudfish Pottery here in Albuquerque where I apprenticed under Mr. Lou D’Amico. For 3 years I studied mainly tableware pottery and vase-work with a firm concentration on repetition. I later opened up to portrait-work and currently show samples of that work here on AbqArtReview. I continue realist and abstract portrait in my working studio. I recently absorbed a teaching position at the African American Performing Art Center and currently work with the Charlie Morrisey Education Center teaching K-5 Elementary Students the fundamentals of clay concerning general clay approaches. I am working on my Art Education/Fine Arts Degree at CNM and later, the University of New Mexico. I aspire to teach clay professionally and eventually earn my Masters Degree in Education/Teaching:) |
